Director Responsibilities and Duties

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: Supervise the overall daily operation of the center in accordance with Health Department regulations. Serve as a professional model to staff. Lead staff in designing and maintaining a safe, creative, and stimulating learning environment for children. Maintain complete children and personnel files. Evaluate staff, conduct conferences, counseling, sessions with staff as needed. Recruit, interview, hire, train new staff. Collect fees according to center/corporate policies. Maintain enrollment according budget goals. Enforce all center policies.

Teacher Job Description

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: creating and maintaining an environment for children that provides choices and variety appropriate to their development potential including physical, cognitive, language, social-emotional and creative development. Supervise activity time, quiet/active time, free choice/teacher-directed activities, individual, small group, and large group activity opportunities, and small/large muscle development activities. Prepare weekly lesson plans to be approved by the Director. Use assisting classroom staff in an effective manner. Be a positive role model for other staff members. Be responsible for the arrangement, maintenance, cleanliness, and security of the classroom, including toys and equipment.

Teacher Assistant Job Description

Assist teacher in providing appropriate activities to children. Assist in arrangement, maintenance, cleanliness and security of the classroom including toys and equipment. Serve meals and snacks to children, assisting in development of good nutrition habits. Help children establish good habits of toileting and good hygiene. Assist in supervising all activities to insure safety of each child at all times. Model appropriate behavior for children.

Cook Job Description

Prepare morning, noon and evening meals and snacks to meet dietary needs of children. Maintain quality control in kitchen. Serve and clean up after all meals and snacks. Clean and sanitize cooking and eating utensils and work area. Provide daily maintenance of refrigerators and freezers, including cleaning and checking the thermometer. Maintain current inventory of food and equipment; notify director of items that must be re-supplied. Work with teachers to identify children's food likes and dislikes. Completion of food handlers course.
